Mary Louise Phelps
Committed to helping clients through difficult life transitions, Mary Louise Phelps’ practice includes all areas of Family Law, with an emphasis on cases involving substance abuse, mental illness, domestic violence and custody issues. Mary Louise has extensive training in alternative dispute resolution and collaborative law, and has co-written on Family Law negotiations for the State Bar of Texas Advanced Family Law Course.
A 2005 graduate of the Tulane University School of Law, Mary Louise served on the school’s Steering Committee for Alternative Dispute Resolution. She was a member of the Tulane Law School Moot Court Negotiation Team and also served as the team coach. She graduated from Tulane University with her undergraduate degree in 2001, and later earned her MBA in 2005. While in school, Mary Louise held a variety of positions, including working in the West Wing of the White House, and with Patton Boggs L.L.P., the Cannes Film Festival and the Condé Nast media company. Prior to her legal career, she worked as an executive recruiter.
