Amber Liddell Alwais
A former staff attorney for the Civil District Judges of Bexar County, Amber Liddell Alwais possesses unique courthouse insight. That background has helped her earn the trust of clients and the respect of her peers. As a staunch advocate for her clients, Amber handles all areas of Family Law, including divorce, property division, custody, adoptions, child support and grandparents' rights.
In addition to her practice, Amber serves as a Family Law and Probate Law instructor at both The University of Texas at San Antonio and San Antonio College.
Amber was named the 2003 Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the Women's Bar Association of Bexar County in recognition of her contributions to the San Antonio legal community. She also has been honored three times on the Texas Rising Stars listing published by Thomson Reuters, Legal Division, and has been selected to San Antonio's Top Attorneys list by Scene in S.A. Magazine three consecutive years.
Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2009, Amber is licensed to practice law in Texas state district courts, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, and the Supreme Court of Texas. She is a 1996 graduate of St. Mary's University School of Law, and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Sam Houston State University in 1993.
