DALLAS - The Family Law firm McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, L.L.P., is proud to congratulate associate Gene Leposki on becoming Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
In order to earn board certification, attorneys must achieve specific requirements established by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and pass a day-long written examination.
"The process is exceptionally difficult, but Gene is an outstanding Family Law attorney, so no one at McCurley Orsinger was surprised to learn he had earned his certification," says firm name partner Mike McCurley. "We are all very proud of his accomplishment."
Prior to joining McCurley Orsinger, Mr. Leposki operated his own law firm for almost 10 years. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps and routinely assisted clients facing the intersection of the military and civilian justice systems. Mr. Leposki advocated for military personnel with family law concerns, including divorce, child support and custody, and frequently held seminars for the civilian dependents of military members that explained their rights and duties under California family law and federal law.
Mr. Leposki is licensed to practice in Texas, California and Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. Military Court of Appeals and all other U.S. military courts. He is a 1991 graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law, and graduated from the Naval Justice School in 1992. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Washington & Jefferson College in 1988.
