Mr. LaMorgese is a popular lecturer, including hosting several educational Family Law discussions on YouTube and Texas Lawyer newspaper podcasts. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of Texas and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. His experience in both trial and appellate law allow him to build strong cases designed to withstand scrutiny at the appellate level.
His expertise in social media and Family Law issues includes topics such as how Facebook, texting and Twitter can complicate - and even result in - divorce. His has written for Texas Lawyer, Dallas Bar Headnotes and Executive Legal Adviser magazine. With 14 years of Family Law experience, Mr. LaMorgese provides extensive expertise in analyzing, handling and explaining complex divorce cases, prenuptial matters and child custody issues.
Mr. LaMorgese earned the 2005 Award of Merit from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for his appellate work in a case involving the Hague Convention and the civil aspects of international child abduction. He has been honored in the Texas Super Lawyers and Texas Rising Stars lists, in addition to D Magazine's "Top Lawyers Under 40." Mr. LaMorgese has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2001. He earned his law degree, cum laude, at the Southern Methodist University School of Law and bachelor's degree at Trinity University in San Antonio.
