DALLAS - McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, LLP, has long been one of Texas' leading Family Law firms, and for the ninth consecutive year, each of the firm's name partners has earned recognition on the Texas Super Lawyers list.
Mike McCurley, Richard Orsinger, Mary Jo McCurley, Keith Nelson and Scott Downing have been included in the listing each year since its inception in 2003. Also earning recognition on the 2011 Texas Super Lawyers list are partners John Alexander and Brad LaMorgese. This year marks Mr. Alexander's eighth selection to the prestigious listing, and Mr. LaMorgese's seventh.
Mr. McCurley, Mr. Orsinger, Ms. McCurley and Mr. Nelson also received additional special recognition this year.
For the ninth time, Mr. McCurley was recognized among the Top 100 Attorneys in Dallas-Fort Worth, with Mr. Nelson earning the same distinction for the second time and Ms. McCurley for the sixth time. Mr. McCurley previously was honored in Worth magazine as one of the Top 100 Attorneys in the U.S.
In addition to making her second appearance as one of the Top 100 Attorneys in Texas, Ms. McCurley also was highlighted among the state's Top 50 Female Attorneys for the ninth time. Mr. Orsinger earned recognition among Texas' Top 100 Attorneys for a ninth year and his eighth selection as one of the Top 50 Attorneys in Central and West Texas. Earlier this year, he was named the Family Lawyer of the Year by the peer-selected Best Lawyers in America.
To compile the Texas Super Lawyers listing, nominations were solicited from more than 70,000 attorneys across Texas. Additional evaluation was conducted by an attorney-led research team, with fewer than 5 percent of the state's attorneys earning selection to the final list.
The Texas Super Lawyers list appears in the October 2011 issue of Texas Monthly, as well as the standalone Texas Super Lawyers magazine published by Thomson Reuters.
