DALLAS - Three Family Law attorneys from the Dallas and San Antonio offices of McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing, LLP, have earned selections in the 2011 Texas Rising Stars listing of the top young lawyers in the state.
For the second consecutive year, Dallas associates Monica Cruz and Stephen Orsinger and San Antonio associate R. Porter Corrigan are recognized among the up-and-coming Texas attorneys age 40 or younger and those who have been in practice for fewer than 10 years.
In order to earn selection to the Texas Rising Stars listing, attorneys were nominated by other lawyers from across the state before passing a review conducted by a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys who previously were featured in the annual Texas Super Lawyers list. Fewer than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state were chosen for this honor. The complete 2011 Texas Rising Stars list, published by Thomson Reuters, Legal division, is featured in the April issue of Texas Monthly magazine.
All three of the 2011 Texas Rising Stars honorees from McCurley Orsinger represent clients in a variety of Family Law and appellate cases, including matters involving estates, child custody, and division of property.
Ms. Cruz earned her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2006 and her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in 1999.
Mr. Corrigan earned his law degree in 2007 from St. Mary's University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in 2002.
Mr. Orsinger graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2007 after earning his undergraduate degree at St. John's College in Santa Fe, N.M.
