An experienced, respected Family Law attorney, Brad LaMorgese is known for his ability to analyze and balance competing interests in every matter he handles.
A sought-after lecturer, Brad has spoken on a wide range of Family Law topics and he frequently provides Texas Lawyer newspaper's Web site with podcasts on Family Law topics. His work was recognized in the published opinions Sealed Appellant v. Sealed Appellee, 394 F.3d 338 (5th Cir. 2004), In re Zandi, 270 S.W.3d 76 (Tex. 2008)(per curiam) and In re Forlenza, 140 S.W.3d 373 (Tex. 2004) (orig. proceeding). In those cases, Brad appeared before the Supreme Court of Texas and U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.
Brad is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has served on the Family Law Legal Assistant Testing Commission since 2006. He is admitted to practice as a member of the State Bar of Texas, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. Courts of Appeal for the First, Fifth, Sixth and Eleventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
Brad earned the Award of Merit in 2005 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children based on his work before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in a case involving the Hague Convention and the civil aspects of international child abduction. He has been honored in the Texas Super Lawyers list, as well as the Texas Rising Stars list, in Law & Politics Magazine. He also received recognition among the Top Lawyers Under 40 in D Magazine.
