With a reputation as one of the nation's leading Family Law attorneys, Mike McCurley is a well-known expert in both custody and property cases. His representation runs the gamut: from high-profile celebrities to those lesser known to the general public.

Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mike has garnered recognition from professional organizations and the community. He was recognized in 2002 as Texas' top Family Lawyer in Texas Lawyer newspaper's Go-To Guide. Published every five years, Mike was again ranked among one of the five top Family Lawyers in the state in the 2007 Go-To Guide.

No stranger to accolades, Mike has earned recognition on every Texas Super Lawyers listing, multiple honors by D Magazine as one of the top divorce lawyers in Dallas, and as a Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyer in America. He also has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America, Best Lawyers in Texas, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in American Law, Forbes Magazine, Town & Country Magazine and Vogue Magazine.

Mike received the prestigious Sam Emison Award in 2001 for outstanding contribution to the practice of Family Law from the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists.

A frequently sought-after lecturer, Mike has spoken on Family Law matters across the United States, and has authored a number of papers and publications on every aspect of Family Law and trial techniques.

Mike earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1972, and earned his Board Certification in Family Law in 1982. He is married to Mary Johanna McCurley, who is a partner in the firm. He has one daughter, Melissa.
